PCETI is about ideas in person-centered expressive arts therapy. Focussing on personal development and transformation through writing, art, movement and dance, drama, and sound. Person-centered expressive therapy aims to promote self-realisation by nurturing our creativity. This ultimately results in personal development by releasing our inner powers.
Person-centered therapy originated in the work of Carl Rogers in the 1940s and 1950s. It was further developed and extended to encompass expressive elements in therapy by Carl Rogers' daughter Natalie Rogers
International Expressive Arts Therapy Association
The International Expressive Arts Therapy Association serves as a non-profit professional organization to inspire stimulate and support the creative and artistic spirit of its community and provides an on-going local and global information exchange within the Expressive Arts field for Artists, Educators, Therapists and Other Creative-Minded Individuals.
